About Fiona Wallis Lic.Ac. MBAcC
I am a Traditional Acupuncture Practitioner, registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). I am also a qualified masseuse/massage practitioner (Swedish massage) and a tui na practitioner (Chinese massage).
I originally trained as a Diagnostic Radiographer (DCR(R)) at The Westminster Hospital, London. I followed this career in England and abroad, allowing for family commitments. However, whilst living and working in Hong Kong, I was introduced to acupuncture and started studying Chinese Medicine and its’ philosophical roots, in the 1990’s.
On returning to England, I undertook a comprehensive 4 year, full time course in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) in East Grinstead. The subjects included the following:
- Biomedical Sciences - Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology;
- the philosophy and pathology of Chinese Medicine;
- Swedish Massage;
- Clinical Observation and Practice; and
- a final year thesis.
I graduated and received my Licentiate in Acupuncture in 2003.
The BAcC continually strives to maintain high standards of continuing education, ethics,
discipline and practice within the profession.
I am covered by full medical and liability insurance; bound by a Code of Ethics and follow
mandatory Standards of Safe Practice.
Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email, and I will be able to answer any queries you have about acupuncture and how it can help your particular condition.
